FAQ
What are the accepted formats?
We mainly work with 'wav' and 'Aiff' formats from 16 bits and 44,1 kHz and up to 24 bits and 48 kHz
We do not work with MP3 files as these are of lower quality.
How to send your files?
You can create a 'you send it' account, it's free up to 1 Gb of upload, and you send it to our email address postmaster@homestudiopro.be.
But if the files are to big it's really easier to put all the data on a USB key, or a DVD or CD, and to send it through the mail with a Day+1 service.
So if you want to do so please send it to
Home Studio Pro

How to export your files?
Export it with no effect or dynamics (compressor, reverb, etc...) Make sure that all the tracks start at the same place. Turn all your faders to 0.
How to check the files before sending them?
Put back the exported files to your sequencer to check that everything is synchronised, and that nothing is missing. Difference between mixing and mastering. You will have a MIX that is going to balance the tracks, but keep in mind that you will not have a high sound level. To obtain that level you will have to masterize the mix.
To obtain a good mix, you have to respect some rules in the recording phase.
1 - Don't compress, equalize or put an effect at the take (except for some electric guitar effects).
2 - Take your time to record. try to have a natural sound.
3 - Choose your mic according to the instrument that you're recording with (dynamic, etc...)
4 - Even if it seems obvious: play to the best of your ability, even if editing is an frequently used tool, it will not fix all the mistakes. Keep in mind that the final mix will be the reflection of your group.
5 - Record in a minimum of 44,1 Khz, 16 bits definition (preferably 24 bits)
